"The Friendship of Jack and the Wild Horse", an impressive story of strong bonding, is from the series of Bedtime Short Stories. This is an original story and is brought to you by the Reading Klub.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Jack who lived in a small village nestled in the foothills of a mountain range. Jack was a simple man, who lived a peaceful life tending to his crops and livestock. But one day, everything changed when he stumbled upon a magnificent wild horse while wandering through the nearby plateau.
The horse was a sight to behold - with a coat as black as night and a fiery spirit that seemed to radiate from within. Jack was taken aback by the creature's beauty, but he was also apprehensive. Wild horses were known to be unpredictable and dangerous, after all. But as he watched the horse prance and play in the distance, he felt a strange connection with the animal - as if they were meant to be friends.
Over the next few days, Jack found himself drawn back to the plateau again and again, always seeking out the wild horse. At first, the horse was skittish and would bolt at the slightest noise or movement. But as time went on, Jack learned how to approach the animal with a gentle, patient touch. He brought carrots and apples as treats, and spent hours sitting quietly nearby, simply watching the horse graze and play.
Gradually, the horse began to trust Jack, and even seemed to look forward to his visits. They began to develop a bond that was both mysterious and profound, as if they were two kindred spirits who had found each other at last. Jack started bringing a saddle and bridle with him, hoping that he might eventually be able to ride the horse.
One day, after months of patient effort, Jack finally managed to mount the horse. At first, the horse was skittish and nervous, but Jack spoke to him in soothing tones and gently guided him through the plateau. As they rode, Jack felt a sense of exhilaration and freedom that he had never experienced before. The wind rushing through his hair, the sun on his face, and the rhythm of the horse's gallop all combined to create a feeling of absolute joy and abandon.
From that day on, Jack and the horse were inseparable. They explored the plateau together, riding for hours on end through fields of wildflowers and up rocky cliffs. They swam in clear, cold streams and rested in the shade of ancient trees. They raced each other across wide-open spaces, laughing and shouting with abandon.

As time went on, Jack began to feel as if he had found a new purpose in life. He no longer felt content with the quiet, predictable existence he had led before - he yearned for adventure and excitement, to see what lay beyond the horizon. And the horse, with its wild spirit and boundless energy, was the perfect companion for such a journey.
Together, they set out on a grand adventure - riding through dense forests and arid deserts, crossing raging rivers and treacherous mountains. They encountered all manner of people and creatures, some friendly and some not so much. But no matter what obstacles they faced, they always had each other, and that was enough to keep them going.
As they journeyed, Jack learned more about himself and the world around him than he ever could have imagined. He discovered new cultures and ways of life, made lifelong friends and even fell in love. And through it all, the horse was there, a constant reminder of the beauty and freedom that existed in the world.
Eventually, after years of wandering, Jack and the horse returned to the plateau where they had first met. They were older now, but no less adventurous or full of life. They spent their days exploring the familiar landscape, reminiscing about old times and dreaming of new adventures yet to come.
As the sun set on their final day together, Jack leaned his head against the horse's flank, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him. He knew that this was where he belonged, with his dear friend by his side. But as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he felt a sharp pain in his chest.
The pain was intense, and Jack knew immediately that something was wrong. He struggled to breathe, his vision blurring and fading. But even as he felt his life slipping away, he clung to the image of the horse - the one constant in his ever-changing world.
In his final moments, Jack reached out a trembling hand and stroked the horse's mane, whispering words of love and gratitude. And as he closed his eyes for the last time, he felt a sense of peace wash over him - knowing that he had lived a full and adventurous life, and that his friend would be there to carry on his legacy.
The horse stood by his side, watching over him as the sun set on their world. And though he could not understand the complexity of human emotions, he knew that he had lost a true friend. He nuzzled Jack's lifeless body, as if saying goodbye in his own way.

In the days and weeks that followed, the horse wandered the plateau alone, grieving for his lost companion. But as time went on, he began to feel a sense of purpose stirring within him - the same purpose that had driven Jack all those years ago. And so he set out on his own adventure, exploring the world and discovering new wonders with each step.
And though he never forgot the man who had first tamed him and shown him the beauty of the world, the horse knew that it was time to carve out his own path. For he was wild and free, a creature of the open plains and the untamed wilderness, and his journey would never truly end.
